Skytanking USA Awarded Fuel System Operating Contract at Chicago Midway

Skytanking USA, the new entry commercial aviation fuel service company, today announced the award of the Fuel System Operating Contract at the Chicago Midway Airport. The award was a result of a competitive bid process conducted by the Midway Airlines Terminal Consortium (MATCO). Service will commence February 1, 2005.

“This contract is very important to Skytanking from a strategic standpoint since it is our first in the facility management line of business. Our sister company, Oiltanking, provides a facility management, turnkey concept to many petroleum and chemical companies all over the world that includes building, financing and operation of their terminals. Skytanking wants to become that kind of service provider to the Airline Industry,” stated John Gassett, President of Skytanking USA.

The award of this business is consistent with the long-term strategy of Skytanking to focus on aviation fueling only and to provide an independent, strong, aviation fuel service company, dedicated to the highest standards of quality, safety and customer focus. Skytanking provides a full range of services including building, owning and operating aviation fuel facilities and providing into-plane services to airlines, airports and other customers.
