Southwest Awards Into-Plane Fueling Contract to Skytanking at Dallas Love Field

Skytanking USA today announced that Southwest Airlines has awarded Skytanking an into-plane fueling contract at Dallas Love Field effective June 1, 2006.

"Dallas Love Field is one of Southwest’s most important operations with more than 120 daily flights and there may be the possibility of increased activity if there are changes to the Wright Amendment. The fact that Skytanking has been chosen to perform their into-plane service, which has previously been performed by their employees, at their Headquarters location, underlines the confidence Southwest has in our company. This contract will give us the opportunity to continue to build the relationship with Southwest that we want to develop with all of our customers. That relationship is based on a strong customer service business philosophy and mutual respect," stated John Gassett, President of Skytanking USA. "We plan to reward their confidence by building a state of the art into-plane operation which will include a planeside data capture system which will be implemented with an equipment upgrade planned by Southwest in the near future," further stated Gassett.

The award of this business is consistent with the long-term strategy of Skytanking to focus on aviation fueling only and provide an independent, strong, aviation fueling service company, dedicated to the highest standards of quality, safety and customer focus. Skytanking provides a full range of services including building, owning and operating aviation fuel facilities and providing into-plane services to airlines, airports and other customers.
